Thousand Oaks, CA Compass Charter Schools (CCS) is excited to announce that CCS of Los Angeles was voted Los Angeles’ favorite charter school for the second year in a row by local residents for the 2019 Readers Choice Awards hosted by The Los Angeles Daily News.

The 2019 Readers Choice is an annual award that highlights a wide range of people, places, and events that have all been voted for by local residents. The highly anticipated magazine was recently released with a formal announcement of the winners being recognized as this year’s Readers Choice Awards.

“It is truly a privilege to receive this recognition,” said J.J. Lewis, CCS Superintendent & CEO. “We are proud that the Los Angeles community has voted Compass Charter Schools as their favorite charter school for the second year in a row. Our top priority is to provide an engaging virtual learning environment for scholars to receive the best education that fits their unique needs. I am proud of our Compass Experience, proud of the staff who deliver this experience to our scholars, and incredibly honored that we were selected for this award for the second time.”

Last year, CCS renewed its Los Angeles charter with the authorizing district, Acton-Agua Dulce Unified School District. The approved renewal has allowed the school to continue providing an educational experience for families seeking alternatives to a traditional school setting and be named Los Angeles’ favorite charter school.
