Compass Charter Schools’ (CCS) Board of Directors Appoints New Member

THOUSAND OAKS, CA – The Compass Charter Schools (CCS) Board of Directors announced the appointment of Ms. Cori Brooks to its Board of Directors following their regular meeting held Thursday, November 21.

“We are elated to have Ms. Brooks join our Board of Directors,” said CCS Superintendent & CEO J.J. Lewis. “I look forward to her contributions in supporting the operation and growth of the educational opportunities we provide scholars at CCS.”

Brooks has worked within all genres of education, state agencies, and businesses to promote growth in global citizenship, state and national standards, STEM education, social-emotional learning, and 21st Century Skills, among other topics related to individual needs assessments. With her extensive experience, Brooks will bring unique experiences to the Board which will be of tremendous value as CCS continues to enhance and expand its programs to support scholars. 

“Choice in education can promote effective and quality learning experiences for all scholars and all learning styles. However, we need to advocate for quality education so that the choices parents and students have to make promote academic growth and success,” shared Brooks.
