Compass Charter Schools Superintendent & CEO J.J. Lewis Is Honored As 2021 Modern Governance 100 Recipient in the Community Ally Category

Thousand Oaks, CA, September 22, 2021. J.J. Lewis, Compass Charter Schools (Compass) Superintendent & CEO, is recognized as a 2021 Modern Governance 100 recipient in the Community Ally category by Diligent

The Modern Governance 100 was designed to provide board members, elected officials, executives, and peers the opportunity to honor governance, IT, audit, risk, compliance, and ESG professionals and the significant contributions they are responsible for. This year, the program is particularly poignant with the introduction of six categories for nominations, showing the breadth of responsibilities including diversity and sustainability practices, digital transformation, cyber risk management, risk, compliance and audit, and finally, a commitment to local communities.

“As a recipient of the Outstanding Community Ally category, our panel of expert judges has recognized Lewis’ outstanding commitment to supporting the local community and school district by driving positive changes in governance practices at Compass Charter Schools. On behalf of the category judges, Heather Masshardt, Alex Fike, and MarKeith Allen, I would like to extend my congratulations and applaud you for your exemplary contributions to your organization,” shares Brian Stafford, Diligent CEO. “My sincere congratulations Lewis, on being named to this remarkable group of professionals from around the world. Behind every successful organization is a transformational leader – and I commend you for being that individual.”
