Compass Charter Schools of Los Angeles (serving the counties of Los Angeles, Kern, San Bernardino, and Ventura):

Online Elementary School Scholar of the Month: Dominic A.

“Dominic exemplifies the Achievement ARTIC value in so many ways! First and foremost, he shows up to each learning lab prepared and ready to learn. He tries his best on every task during lab, participates in classroom discussions, and assists classmates when they need help understanding. Also, Dominic is diligent about logging in and completing schoolwork every day. He works hard to understand assignments and reaches out when he needs to fix mistakes. It has been a pleasure working with Dominic this year, and I am confident he will continue to do GREAT the rest of the semester.” ~Meghan Fisher, Supervising Teacher

Options Elementary School Scholar of the Month: Lupita H.

“Lupita loves to learn! She always asks questions and shows her work whenever she gets a chance. She is a bright little girl with a great appreciation for learning and school.” ~Jennifer Hall, Supervising Teacher

Options Middle School Scholar of the Month: Antonio T.

“Antonio is an 8-grade English Language scholar who plans to be ready for high school and is working very hard to meet his goals! He was sick for the first weeks of school, and so was his mother. We were texting, but he wasn’t able to start on time. Instead of making excuses or giving up, he did as much as possible and then hit the ground running the second week. He has learned how to upload all of his work to Seesaw and has sent the five samples per week I requested. Antonio is keeping up with Lexia, attending several morning meetings with his counselor, and attending every weekly live homeroom class. I am very proud of how he is exhibiting all of the habits of mind ready for high school and then college! He wants to work with computers or engineering, and he is already showing the organization and drive it takes to do it!” ~ Stephanie Lee, Supervising Teacher

Online High School Scholar of the Month: Allyssa E.

“Allyssa puts effort and passion into her honors courses, continually challenging herself to grasp complex concepts and perform to the best of her abilities. We are so proud of her growth as an excellent scholar and communicator!” ~Lynn Woodley, High School Teacher
