Thousand Oaks, CA –  Compass Charter Schools (CCS) announced that Lilimar Hernandez Ruiz, a senior high school scholar from Los Angeles, made her television debut on Nickelodeon’s new comedy Knight Squad this past Saturday, February 24.

I’ve always had a love for performing, but I really started acting when I was about nine years old,” said Lilimar. “I started with modeling, but once I took my first drama class I knew that’s what I wanted to do. CCS has definitely helped me continue to expand my knowledge while being extremely flexible with my filming schedule. I enjoy being able to go at a comfortable pace, it definitely relieves some stress. As I continue to grow and learn, I hope to continue acting and eventually transition to feature film projects. My main goal in life is to inspire people with the roles that I portray.”

Lilimar was cast as the character Sage in Knight Squad, which began filming in 2017. The show tells the story of two main characters who attend a magical training school for knights and fight protect their deepest secret. Lilimar’s character, Sage, is known for being mischievous and clever because she doesn’t let anything get in the way of her becoming a knight.

“Congratulations to Lilimar for earning this exciting new role on Nickelodeon,” said Jacob Samples, CCS school counselor. “Lilimar is a focused and determined scholar who has worked very hard to stay on track with her academics while pursuing her goal of becoming an actress. I am so happy to see Lilimar achieve that goal and I am grateful to be part of her journey. Congratulations, Lilimar!”
