Thousand Oaks, CA – CCS is proud of its scholars and uses its Scholar of the Month program to recognize their achievements. Scholars are nominated by teachers and staff for their academic excellence, work ethic, leadership skills, and virtual involvement, and selected by our leadership team for the monthly honor.
Elementary School Scholar of the Month: Jillian P., of CCS of San Diego
“Jillian is an outstanding and diligent Scholar, who puts every effort into doing her best each day,” said Meghan Fisher, elementary school teacher. “She has demonstrated a true passion for learning this year. Jillian’s dedication, perseverance, and hard work helped her achieve Mastery in all 2nd grade courses! Congratulations, Jillian! It has been a pleasure to be your teacher and I am extremely proud of you!”
Middle School Scholar of the Month: Donyelle A., of CCS of San Diego
“Donyelle is a very dedicated scholar who oftentimes seeks to redo her work to perfection, despite having already received an “A””, said Erin Thomson, middle school teacher. “She advocates for herself independently and stays in regular contact with her teachers in order to maintain her grades in class and stay on pace. She is also polite and welcoming to other scholars in LL, encouraging her peers and offering to help them. We are all so proud of you!”
High School Scholar of the Month: Victoria I., of CCS of Fresno
“Victoria has put in effort beyond expectations and truly cares about mastering the concepts of writing and language arts,” said Jennifer Hobson, high school teacher. “She is a diligent and independent scholar who works with her teachers to excel in her classes. Well done, Victoria! We are so proud of you!”
Home Study Scholar of the Month: Erin G. P., of CCS of San Diego
“Erin is a very sweet and intelligent scholar,” said Sharlie Walker, educational facilitator. “She is very dedicated to her learning and her quality of work is amazing. Her writing is very detailed and enjoyable to read. She loves to dance, do science experiments, travel with her family, and always has a smile on her face. I am proud of Erin and all of her accomplishments!”
