Compass Charter Schools (CCS) Names their December 2020 Scholars of the Month

Thousand Oaks, CA – CCS is proud of its scholars and uses its Scholar of the Month program to recognize their accomplishments. The program also ties into the CCS core values of achievement, respect, teamwork, integrity, and communication. Scholars are nominated by teachers and staff for their academic excellence, work ethic, leadership skills, and virtual involvement, and selected by the leadership team for the monthly honor.

Compass Charter Schools of Los Angeles (serving the counties of Los Angeles, Kern, San Bernardino, and Ventura):

Elementary School Scholar of the Month: Darren F., of Santa Monica

Ms. Howieson, Supervising Teacher shares, “Darren is a wonderful scholar to work with; every week, he is prepared and ready to work on his writing. He shows integrity, is truthful, honest, and always strives to do his best. I can see how much his hard work is paying off. Great work, Darren!”

Middle School Scholar of the Month: Brady S. & Corryn S., of Simi Valley

Ms. Noller, Middle School Teacher shares, “Brady and Corryn are twins in my homeroom and new to our online program. They do excellent work and are excelling in all of their classes. Brady was even able to assist scholars in their elective Javascript class while sharing his final game with me for class. They are both doing excellent work, and it was hard to choose one over the other, so I nominated both!”

High School Scholar of the Month: Isaiah P., of Victorville

Mr. Spink, High School Teacher shares, “Isaiah is at the top of his class in biology. He demonstrates all the CCS ARTIC values. Isaiah attends learning labs regularly and is a pleasure to have in class. He demonstrates responsibility and independence in his learning.”

Keep up the amazing work!”
