Thousand Oaks, CA – Compass Charter Schools (CCS) announced scholar Clara M, a third grade scholar of CCS of San Diego, as the July winner of its #CCSFirebird Photo Contest. The contest invites CCS scholars to decorate and name the school mascot, the Firebird. Then, scholars are encouraged to enjoy their summer activities with their decorated Firebird, and share pictures of their adventures with CCS on social media.

Clara shared several photos of her travels with the CCS Firebird including a trip to an alpaca ranch in Oregon, and a trip to a nearby lake. She will receive a pair of movie tickets as the grand prize. Other CCS scholars entered photos of their July travels with the CCS mascot to museums, iconic U.S. landmarks and much more.
