Luna C. 1st Los Angeles
Luna is a hard-working scholar who stays on task and progresses through the Accelerate Education curriculum with confidence. She is a strong reader and is performing above grade level in all subjects. Luna attends Learning Lab regularly and actively participates. She is eager to learn! Luna embodies and represents all of our Compass core values of Achievement, Respect, Teamwork, Integrity and Communication. Luna is a pleasure to have in my class!
Mercy W. 7th Los Angeles
Mercy is motivated and determined to do her best. She asks good questions when she needs help and uses teacher feedback to improve her work on her assignments.
Everin B. 10th Los Angeles
Everin Bilbao is consistently engaged and eager to learn in every learning lab he attends. He shows up prepared, keeps his camera on, and gives his full attention, which reflects real respect for his teachers and classmates. His participation is steady and reliable. He doesn't just attend, he contributes. That consistency shows a strong sense of integrity and follow-through, since Everin does what's expected of him without needing to be reminded. He communicates his engagement clearly through his active presence, and his positive attitude makes him a pleasure to have in the virtual classroom. Everin is exactly the kind of scholar who shows up ready to grow, session after session.
Nash S. 5th San Diego
Nash is a phenomenal scholar. He dives into his work with full throttle and engages in educational discussions with all of his peers. He'll bring his guitar to lab, raise the bar with Wayground and does it all with a smile. Nash is a Firebird through and through!
Heidy S. 8th San Diego
Heidy is determined to stay on pace and meet her goals. She asks good questions when she needs help and comes to class ready to learn and participate.
Isabella O. 10th San Diego
Isabella has great attendance at Learning Labs and follows a tight daily routine of logging in and submitting work. She is highly self-motivated and the quality of her work is excellent. Isabella is always respectful and communicates when she has questions. It is a pleasure to have her in class.
Diego C. 1st Yolo
I am happy to recognize Diego as our Yolo Scholar of the Month! Although he joined us a little later than the first day of school, he quickly caught up in the curriculum and jumped right into our Learning Labs with enthusiasm and engagement. He has shown a wonderful love for learning and recently completed an amazing Science Module Project about the phases of the moon. His big smile, positive energy, and eagerness to learn each day brings joy to our first grade class. Congratulations, Diego, & keep up the great work!
Colin P. 8th Yolo
Colin decided to push himself this year and take an advanced math class option (Pre-Algebra), and he is doing a great job. He communicates well and asks good questions when he needs help. He uses teacher feedback to improve his work on his assignments.
Brian L. 9th Yolo
Brian has had an exceptional start to the school year. He is always present and active during learning labs. He has his camera on, and encourages others to do so as well. Brian is enthusiastic about learning, and that spirit is contagious in class. He's done an excellent job of applying himself to his English assignments as well! He is such a positive influence in English and Homeroom.
