The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is a three-year plan that describes the goals, actions, services, and expenditures to support positive scholar outcomes that address state and local priorities.
LCAP GOALS
Compass clarified essential elements of the organization’s philosophy (“Every scholar has the potential to thrive and be successful if they are supported in the right environment”), approach (“We encourage a personalized approach where scholars are seen for who they are and can choose their best educational path to find academic success”), and impact (“We support and celebrate many paths to personal fulfillment”) into our new Impact Statement.
VISION FOR THE FUTURE
With a clear vision for the future, Compass honed in on its most pressing strategic priorities over the next three to five years in order to fulfill its desired impact.
STRATEGIC PRIORITIES
The four strategic priority areas that emerged: staff development, equitable scholar outcomes, growth of its presence and influence, and thought leadership and model innovation. Over the next three to five years, Compass will work to achieve the following core goal outcomes:
Build trusting relationships and a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ongoing learning among staff.
Provide equitable support for all scholars by leveraging the full Compass community to advance each individual scholar’s academic and social emotional progress.
Position Compass to meet the growing demand for personalized virtual learning while proactively adapting to political changes.
Becoming a recognized leader in personalized learning in California and beyond.
If you have any questions on our Strategic Priorities, please contact Elizabeth Brenner, Superintendent & CEO.
LOCAL CONTROL ACCOUNTABILITY PLANS
The LCAP provides an opportunity for local educational agencies (LEAs) like Compass to share their stories of how, what, and why programs and services are selected to meet their local needs.
If you have any questions on our LCAPS below for the 2026-27 school year, please contact Elizabeth Brenner, Superintendent & CEO.
