Come experience a 45 minute educational tour that includes samples of the full chocolate making process and three tastes from our chocolate case. See behind the scenes at ChocXO.
A member of the ChocXO team walks participants through the chocolate making process from the bean to the bar. You’ll walk along our educational wall and see a scale model of a cacao tree, learn how chocolate is fermented and dried, then view into the windows of the ChocXO factory to find out what happens next. This in-depth look is as educational as it is delicious. Participants will sample raw cacao pulp, cocoa nibs, cocoa liquor, and, of course, the finished product of chocolate bars, filled chocolates and chocolate bark.
Location: 9461 Irvine Center Dr, Irvine, CA 92618, USA
Meeting Location: Please look for our Compass Staff near the main entrance holding a “Compass Field Trip” Sign.
Cost: $0 for CCS Scholars, $10 for Attending Adults, $7 for Non-Enrolled Youth Ages 6 to 11 and $10 for Non-Enrolled Youth Ages 12 and older
Please note that anyone under the age of 6 is not permitted on this tour – per ChocXo’s policies.
Please note: No scholar may attend a Field Trip hosted by Compass Charter Schools unless accompanied by a parent, guardian, or legal adult. No exceptions.
Instructions to Register Scholars & Guests: Anyone who plans to attend this event must submit a registration form. Pre-payment is also required for all attending adults and non-enrolled youth. Pre-purchased tickets and/or field trip payments are non-refundable. The registration form also includes a permission slip for scholars and guests under the age of 18 along with the option to pre-pay for all adults and non-enrolled youth. In the event that we do not receive registrations for at least 3 scholars, this event may be cancelled due to restrictions and policies. If this happens, all pre-payments will be refunded.
